GIVING
Community

The Prairie County Fair and Livestock Association works hard to give back to our community. We make as many events free as we can and encourage everyone to come out and take part in whatever ways they can.
We also love having school students participate in exhibits such as educational booths, livestock showings, and craft exhibits. School groups are also welcome to come during the week and walk through the barns and buildings.
During the day on Saturday, we work to provide a family day that has something for everyone. Kids love checking out the animals and joining in the various activities we have set up and educational talks are great for everyone.
The Peggy Haygood Prairie County Fair Scholarship

In the spirit of giving and in memory to Peggy Haygood, the Prairie County Fair Association awards a scholarship for the total amount of $500 to a student who participates and gets involved in the county fair. Peggy Haygood was a much loved board member who pushed for the need of scholarship in our community and loved helping others.
All students living in Prairie County may apply for the scholarship if they have been involved in our fair in the past.
