Prairie County Fair Queen Pageant
September 15, 2018
Every year the Prairie County Fair Queen Pageant precedes the fair so that the winners can ride in a place of honor during the annual parade.
​
Winners of the Prairie County Fair Queen Pageant will have an opportunity to compete in the Arkansas State Fair Pageant.
1st runner up in the Prairie County Pageant can compete at the Southeast District Fair Pageant for an opportunity to compete at State.

Prairie County Fair Parade
September 15, 2018

The Prairie County Fair Parade kicks off the fair week with candy, horses, firetrucks and more. Starting at the old ACCO factory building in Des Arc, on ACCO Drive, and looping down to the courthouse, the parade heads right down Main Street in Des Arc.
Anyone from the Prairie County community is welcome to join the parade lineup; simply show up with a clean vehicle, signs, and a smile. We encourage all school clubs to participate as well as local businesses and organizations.
Parade participants will need to bring their own candy to throw out to spectators. Come on down to DesArc and join us, be it on the side lines or in the parade line up.
Line up will begin at 4 pm with the parade beginning at 4:30.
Exhibits
September 16, 2018

Check in for the exhibits begins on Sunday and goes until Monday. Some items, such as edible goods, can only be brought on Monday, see the exhibit section of the tabloid for rules and details.
​
Exhibits are free to enter and we have plenty of categories to fit in student works from all ages, teachers and professional work, as well as all hobbyists.
Livestock exhibit check in begins Tuesday night, please see the tabloid for rules on entering livestock.
4-H Fish Fry and Gospel Singing
September 20, 2018
Come and support the local 4-H group and local singers in a night of good food and entertainment.

Plates for the 4-H Fish Fry will be $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. Plates are sold at the door of the Prairie County Fair Exhibit building. Fish fry begins at 5 pm.
The gospel singing is free and will begin at 6 pm. Be sure to bring a chair and come enjoy yourself.
Family Fun Day
September 22, 2018
Saturday is about giving everyone in the family something to enjoy such as free activities for the kids, visiting live animals in the barns, and BB & Bow Shooting competitions.
Don't forget about the Pet Show where we encourage you to bring you four legged family friends to compete in fun categories like: Most Ear-Resistable Ears (canine) and Longest Whiskers (feline).
Demolition Derby
September 22, 2018
This year we are partnering with AMMP Motorsports to provide a bigger, more exciting derby for Prairie County. Driver payouts have increased for the 2018 Fair.
